Mine has the model number on the back of the helmet. From there Google would probably be your best bet. I don't know enough about helmets or drag racing to know outside of that, if you can't find the model #

Yeah, I would think you'd be fine. But I also ran a 12.9 in a procharged coyote, so obviously I'm a huge newb. Granted my tune was shit at the time, but I'm in need of a driver mod lol

And nice man, good luck on Tuesday. Should be a good time

I haven’t been on here in a while and just seen it sorry for the late response.
Yes, we have a few spots left. Let me know if you want in. I'll be firming up my racer list today and sending it over to the track in the late afternoon. Send $35 via paypal to mgaw28@gmail.com when you get a moment. Put your name in the comment box so I know who's paying me.

As far as helmets go, GLD is pretty lenient with street cars. Anything running 10s or slower, they will allow motorcycle helmets. They aren't strict on cages either, unless you are running into the single digits. Our group is mostly going to be street driven cars, so I don't expect them to be looking very closely on tech inspection.

Last time I raced there in 2018, they didn't check SFI tags on any of my equipment. With that said, its a good idea for everyone to make sure their cars are safe, whether the track is looking closely or not

If spectating, and arriving alone, do you have to pay entry?

Nope. Specatators are free. There won't be anyone at the gate. The tech inspector will have the list of paid racers.

I forgot to mention when I went a couple weeks back a hellcat was running low 11s (so below the 11.49 requirement from their website) all night without a cage.

nhra rules if a factory 2008 or later car runs slower than 10.00 they do not need to follow NHRA rules, anything 9.99 or faster does. These have to be unmodified factory cars. Hellcat, GT500, etc.. Basically put in place for these 800+hp factory cars so they can race without any mods.
