    Default Car Pricing/Value

How do you try to determine pricing for a vehicle with power adders(supercharger, cams) and bolt ons.

find the value of a the vehicle stock and year, with so many miles and condition like KBB and NADA. then figure price of add ons and depreciate value?

trying to figure an offer for a car i'm interested in.

Really is no set formula for it. It's always subjective to the buyer. Mods usually don't add value to vehicles to begin with.

Just make an offer for what you think it's worth to you. For a run of the mill production vehicle, i certainly wouldn't pay much more than KBB for it, even if it has thousands in mods.

My thoughts are typical mods are worth 50% of retail if they are taken off, if still on the car, maybe 25-40% of orig value?

Pay what u think is fair and Iím sure the owner has a bottom dollar itís upto him of what he invested in the car.

Look around for cars with similar mods to see how others are pricing them. Ultimately it's up to how much you value the car. It's difficult to put a price on cars that are modded.

Thanks for the replies . All are valid points. car is a 2005 mustang GT premium with 150000 miles with a Kenne Bell Twinscrew and stage 2 comp cams. Body and interior are in very good shape.
Top is original with no rips or tears. How much would you price this car ? Not much history on the car. was a Georgia car . 4 owners. per car fax.

7 grand would be fair. I'd run for anything more.

i feel with that many miles forget what mods are done, its a 150k mile mustang, I'd look at KBB to get rough idea. Very different than if it was a 2018 with a blower, cams and 5k miles in my opinion.

Its difficult to say what a modded Mustang is worth.
Depends on what its valued to a perspective buyer.
For me, I'd rather purchase a all stock unmolested Mustang.
A Mustang with a lot of mods tells me that someone beat the living piss out of the car.

I know for vintage classic cars, stock and all original is the name of the game when it comes to the cars value.
For my 1970 GTO; I spent an arm and a leg for the cast iron exhaust manifolds & factory steel air cleaner I currently have on the car.
Sometime in the car's past, someone thought it was a good idea to install Hooker Headers and a Mr Gasket air cleaner on the car.

Thanks again guys. I know this is a relevant topic as most of our cars are not "stock". sooner or later when we decide to sell or move on from our current cars
we wil advertise what we have and did to the car. if you have taken care of the car, regardless of year or mileage im sure that will be seen and mentioned.
