    Default Ford ESP Warranty?

Does anyone here have experience with Ford ESP extended warranties? My '17 Escape is coming up on 2 years old now and 34,000 miles. With the factory bumper to bumper warranty expiring in the next couple months, I'm considering buying a Ford ESP plan. It looks like I could buy a 5 year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty with a small deductible for around $1,100.

Will I have to jump through hoops to get claims paid for? I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile. I'll probably keep the vehicle for another 3 years or so, and I currently drive ~18,000 miles per year. I keep reading horror stories about the Escape's transmission failing around 70,000 miles.

I think that is 5 years from the time of purchase. So thatís not much time, u really want a 7 year 100k or 120k or you can just trade her in. I would only do esp if I owned a ford

True. The 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty would be a 3 year, 65,000 mile warranty from the time I purchase. Within 3 years, I should be close to 100,000 miles and by that point I will probably trade it in for something newer.

I'm looking at the ESP plans available to buy online through Flood Ford. They seem to have the best pricing. I'll check to see if my local dealer can price match.

Yeah whichever plan you choose, the start date is time of new purchase and starting from 0 miles.

I'm looking at the premium care warranty. I have the Titanium trim level with almost every option - Sync 3 w/ Sony stereo, sunroof, heated seats, and adaptive cruise. I don't want a big bill to fix any of those things if something fails.
