    Default Emissions exemption

Those of you who have filed for an emissions exemption here in this communist state, where did you fill it out at and what was the process? My rear o2's are turned off and I do not have an emissions tune. The car drives maybe 2k miles if that a year on nice days and to shows. Thanks in advance!

I did the exemption on my 98 cobra. I had to get "show car" insurance through state farm. Got the paper work at the testing facility filled it out and had to send the insurance info in with the paperwork. And I have to redo the process every 2 yrs

I just did the exemption using Paul's link about a month ago. Did it online on my smartphone and two days later received an email saying I was exempt, waited another day, and picked up new plates on day 3. The exemption is only good for one year so I assume each year you will have to renew it. They didn't ask for any insurance verification or other paperwork. Very simple this year.

You don't need any special insurance. Fill out online. Wait a few hours for email. Go get plates. They don't even require pics anymore.
