    Thumbs up 10/29: SCCA Autocross @ Route 66 Speedway - Joliet

    I'm planning to head down for this event on Sunday, wanted to post it up in case others are interested. Please visit the site(s) for more info on the event and what is required (helmet type etc)

    Entry Fees:
    $40 for Chicago Region SCCA Member Early Registration (closes two days before event at 6pm)
    $50 for Chicago Region SCCA Member On-Site registration
    $55 for Non-Member Early Registration (closes two days before event at midnight) -- Cost Includes SCCA Weekend Membership
    $60 for Non-Member On-Site Registration -- Cost Includes SCCA Weekend Membership

    Race Day Schedule:
    7:30am to 8:15am Registration
    7:40am to 8:30am Worker Assignment
    7:30am to 8:40am Tech Inspection
    7:30am to 8:55am Course Walking (No new course walks can begin after 8:50am, except for Morning worker staff)
    8:45am Novice Course Walk
    9:00am Drivers Meeting & 1st Heat Worker Check-in
    9:15am First Car Off
    5:00pm End

    Event was a blast! Cold weather made it an ice-rink out there but also made getting sideways a lot more fun! Will definitely do it again. SCCA staff were very friendly and accommodating for us two newbs. Hope to see more guys out for the next one!

    So much oversteer! It was a lot of fun though. I definitely need to get out to more than one autoX next season. I slacked on it big time this year.

    I suspect you took the Boss as you mentioned over steer. I see some skinny runners on that Foxbody (looks great btw).

    Thanks Richard. Yup, I did take the Boss. The '90 is my straight line toy and the Boss is for the twisties. I'm uploading some videos now and should have some posted tomorrow.
