    I never expected this thing to be fun to drive when I bought it, but it really does feel like driving a go kart. I've tossed it around plenty of corners and it just stays planted lol.

    I'm looking for grudge races against 3Vs with my Escape. 2Vs can play too.

    Booted the fox off of the lift and did a bunch of maintenance on the daily driver:

    Changed the oil and PTU fluid. Changing the PTU fluid was kind of a pain. The drain plug was seized and didn't want to come out. Ended up having to pull the old fluid out through the fill hole with a syringe and silicone hose.





    Replaced the battery. The auto start/stop hasn't been working lately, so I put my load tester on the battery to check on it. The load tester told me it was weak, so I replaced it with a Duralast Platinum AGM. Not the easiest battery to replace due to being tucked back in the engine bay



    Had to remove the wipers, cowl panel, and remote brake fluid reservoir. Even then the battery was still difficult to get in and out of the battery box due to a cross member above the rear of the battery.





    Replaced the rear brake pads



    And lastly, replaced the cabin filter. It should be good on maintenance for awhile now. In a few months I'll replace the front brake pads. Oddly the rears seemed to wear out quicker than the fronts.

    Man. Never realized how much of a pain in the ass that is to remove the battery in the ford escape.

    Yea the battery change is a bitch, who ever designed the battery to go there needs to have their finger nails torn off. Did this install in the rain lol never again.

    Next time I'll probably take it to the dealer. I stopped at an Advance Auto today to buy some windshield washer fluid and saw a sign advertising free battery installations. I just laughed to myself lol.
