Default Illinois gave me a Temp tag, wtf?

Got my notice for the plate renewal so I did the online waiver thing like I have been doing for years. They approved and i Paid my $101. Got my sticker and the registration says good to August 2018, but the sticker itself is a T, wtf is this?

I think that means they are going to send you the new license plate that they came out with in a few weeks.

Ah that makes sense. I kinda like the current plates though. Hope the new ones are not obnoxiously ugly

The new ones are all right, just some people hate them. If I was staying in Illinois longer, I'd opt for custom ones.

Good to know. I have to renew my plates for my fox body this week. I hate the new license plates. Maybe I'll finally look into antique plates and save myself some money on annual renewal moving forward.

be careful with antique plates Matt, depending on which ones, they put some nasty restrictions on where you can legally drive. I think there are two types of AV plates these days.
