    Reloads have a higher rate of failure. New ammo is always preferred for CCW or home defense.

    There are a few different failures that can happen. Failure to fire (ie. you pull the trigger and no bang), failure to feed, failure to eject (the casing gets caught in the chamber), squib load (the bullet doesn't have enough force to leave the barrel and gets caught without exiting). Squib loads are very dangerous if not caught or noticed. The gun can explode and cause injury.

    If you buy from Cabela's or any other place that is in Crook County,they have a ammo and firearms tax,so we will be getting taxed per round on top of the sales tax.

    That's why I go to Cabella's in Indiana.... and while I'm there, I'll gas up the car & take care of my other shopping needs.

    I do carry my 9mm so I will stick to new. Anyone bought at Walmart? I know they have a cook county $10 fee.
