    Default Raxiom map lights fail

Hey I spent $25 on these damn map lights and this is what I get ?
Sorry for the language. Anyone know of some that don't do this?
I'm aware of the fact that LEDs have lower resistance can have this happen on computer controlled lights , apparently
Some leds have resistors built in to combat this but for $25 really raxiom should have looked into this before selling them
    For all 2005-2014 mustangs

Anytime you start installing aftermarket parts, bulbs, or anything for that matter, expect some parts to need some modification to work how you want them. There's nothing wrong with the bulbs. Without a resister, a small led bulb like that when controlled by a computer can possibly emit a glow even when powered down. All that needs to be done is wire in a resister. Anytime you start modifying a car, I always recommend people to research before they buy or install a part,, or give the car to someone who knows what they are doing. Instead, most people install a part without reading or researching then talk bad about a product or vendor they bought it from when it doesn't work the way they want. Buy the resisters, install those and the lights will not glow, otherwise they work as they were designed, and function the same on every s197 from '05 up. I had them on my own, and got use to it after about a week as its very dim. I also knew they did this though and wasn't shocked because I researched before installing them.

Someone who knows what they're doing ? I'm a technician that works on cars that cost 10x what these mustangs do , I'm aware that I need to wire in a resistor but to sell these bulbs at a premium without including resistors is a little assanine

Did you even read my op? It's obviously to let others know that these will need additional work, not simply plug in and go. Mods please /thread this whole thing is going nowhere , reminds me why I don't visit the forums often anymore

I don't care what you work on in terms of price, factory cars, and modified cars are two different world's in terms of function. Aftermarket parts, or when modifying a car will require additional or changes at times to work correct, or how you want it to. A cars cost is negligible, I've worked on many cars that cost 10x what a Mustang cost as well, and I've lear>ned there the same shit at the end of the day, just more expensive shit. Aftermarket world is not the same as cars that come out of a factory.

Here comes research again. Those bulbs could of been found for a few dollars a piece, as I paid for mine if you would of looked around and seen where people were getting the bulbs from. The resisters are a few dollars each as well. I wouldn't really call $25.00 a premium, as I've seen them even double that price, but then also with resisters, just have to know where to look.
