Funny my boss302 has 19153 miles on it and it has zero rock chips on the hood and bumper. U must ride everyone on the highway

I think it's from ~8,000 miles to and from North Carolina following behind friends with wide sticky tires on their cars lol.

Other than that, it rarely gets driven on the highway and if it does, it's during off hours with light traffic.

    New mod for the Boss

I'm planning on doing an HPDE later this year, so I ordered a brake cooling duct kit from Vorshlag. I also bought a pair of GT/CS fog light housings to use as air inlets so I don't have to cut up my factory Boss fog light deletes. Next I will be ordering Carbotech XP12 and XP10 pads for the track day.

Finally got around to installing the brake cooling ducts, and it figures that I chose a really hot and humid weekend to work on it.

The driver's side was pretty easy. I had to rotate the horns a little bit to make room for the hose.

The passenger side was a little more challenging. The washer bottle is right behind the fog light opening. I ended up using washers as spacers the get a little bit more room behind the washer fluid bottle and was able to squeeze the hose around the back of it.

I've always wanted to put those on the cobra, but I never beat on the cars brakes hard enough where theyd ever really matter lol. It's just odd having the holes next to my fogs that have no purpose.

If anything they will hurt performance on the street a little. At least for initial bite. Warm brakes work better than cool brakes. I do agree though. I always thought it was odd to have those openings on 03/04 Cobras. Kenny Brown makes a nice cooling duct kit for Terminators.

Had this car out of the garage over the weekend to abuse it a bit lol. Autocrossed for my first time in a couple years. The morning session was rough, but started getting confident in the afternoon. The course layout yesterday was probably my favorite so far. It had just enough room to stay in the throttle through most of the course, but had some challenging slaloms that could unsettle the car.

The day after the CMC track day, I'm taking this car to Blackhawk Farms. From what I hear, that track is rough on brakes, so this past weekend I installed a pair of GLoc pads. I went with the R12 and R10 compounds. I'm excited to see how it handles on the road course.

After the CMC track day Tuesday, I came home and switched cars on the trailer. I left Wednesday morning around 5:20 AM to head to Blackhawk Farms with the Boss.

Arrived at the track to see some bros

My car did not stay this clean. The light was hitting it just right in the morning

After my two morning sessions, I started feeling more comfortable and put my camera on my car to record some laps. Here are a couple short clips. We ran 5 twenty minute sessions on track.
