I did them at the same time when I installed my nitrous kit. Didn't notice any difference on how the car drove.. Car still had stock gears at the time as well, they should have never put them in the car from the get go..

Totally not worth it. I put them on with my Kenne Bell on my 96 mystic. If anything it may have lost some go down low. Wouldn't recommend them. IMHO.

Yes sir on the 96-98 cars they have basically little butterflys over the cylinder heads that stay kinda "closed" until 3250 to keep low end torque on these mod motors
The "idea" is with these out and a proper tune you can pick up some horsepower up top there are all kinds of different claims on the forums.
So just seeing if anybody did this and got good gains and also these with they spray is "bad"

Not really going to PU a lot of power by doing the deletes....Do it more as a preventative maintenance thing...That way you never have to worry about the butterflies gumming up or cables breaking....Will Pu 5-7 HP, but will be all up top. If you have a 4.10 gear & a good tune, you will not notice the change/loss down low at all, if any....
