April 23rd Get Together

Okie....there are a few of us thinking about getting together here in Rockford on Sat April 23rd. Hubby's band is playing at JD's Sports Bar. The band is "River City Band" and the play rock n roll blues. SRV, Georgia Satelites & so on. They sound check at 8:30 & start at 9pm. NO COVER!! Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks! WOW...coool. Springfield maybe alittle far. okie more info JD's Sports Bar & Grill 908 W. Riverside 61103 in mall behind MC D's. Take Riverside exit off I 90 turn left on to Riverside & go about 5 or so miles over bridge & JD's is on left. If you have any quesations let me know.

For those who are thinking about getting a room. Cliffbreakers Comfort Suites (815-282-3033) is at the east end of the Northe Town Mall parking lot, where JD's is located. They have NO standard rooms left. This is what I have reserved becuz there's not many rooms available. 4 rooms each have 2 queen beds & are smoking rooms for $99 plus tax. Confirmation # 209129 under Chicagoland Mustang Club. I will cancel these rooms as of 3pm on Fri April 22 otherwise they will charge me for them. The Days Inn off of I-90 & Riverside is totally booked. If u wanna stay somewhere more reasonable there are many hotels off of I-90's State St. exit. Red Roof Inn, Holiday Inn, Ramada, etc. If u are NOT picky there is a mom & pop motel about 2-3 miles from bar. Village Inn 7820 North 2nd St (815-633-3453) Clean, just small, no frills which is like $50 60ish i believe. Let me know if u need anything else.

Cruise to Rockford, Booze & Blues, not having to cruise back home that night, and on Sunday another good cruise back home, guaranteed! Yep, it's gonna be a good summer. Thanks for holding the rooms.

Hey, what time do they play til? I'm gonna be there but there might be an Ice Hogs game that nite (if they can pull win #4 Wed. then they won't play Sat. :D :D :D ). So, I was wondering if it will still be going on aroung 10:30 or so.

Should be going strong by then. Sound check at 8:30, start around 9:00. 10:30 I expect that band'll be in their second set. Plenty of time and I'll be there all night! Woo-Hoo!

Blues is right. They start 2nd set around that time & the bars rolling by then. Band plays until 1amish. We stay until they are all packed up. There is a 24hr Mc D's in the parking lot incase u feel the need for a late nite snack. Anyone going to Jefferson this weekend?? We are going Sunday. Looking for new headlites & Flowmaster mufflers from catback. I blew a HUGE whole in the drivers side one last Saturday. LOL...oops!

How late is the bar open? I was thinking of bringing a cooler in case we want to do an afterhours back at the hotel. The only thing is with the sub's in the back, it's gonna be a small one! :lol:

Rockford has an early bar close time. 2 am. When u get into town & wanna cruise give me a call. 815-505-4109. Sat is mom's b-day & not sure what all is going on. LOL...she will be hunting Sun for a steering wheel for my dad's vette for her b-day present. Crazy kids!! Bro & his girl, mom & dad & Mark & I are all going to Jefferson on Sun. Car thingy in the blood!!

Ouch! It's official, I got hammered last night but had a great time and am told I didn't piss anyone off! Woo-Hoo! Mark's band sounded great and I think Christa said they'll be playing JD's in another 5 weeks. Sounds like another road trip to the Rock.

Only bummer was that I picked up a screw in the sidewall and ended up having to replace the rubber. Expensive trip for one night since I got two replaced (the other front wheel had already been plugged but I didn't trust it.

Ouch, I hate when that happens. I got a roofing nail in the left rear on my Mach......When it was 1 day old. Yep, 75 miles. And when you buy a new car you are not prepared to fork over for new after market tires. So, I just bought another skaterback to replace it.

LOL....You and me both, Andy. Damn went to bed at 3 got up at 8 & just got home from Jefferson. Still feel hung over. Anyway.....a big Thank you to those who came & saw the band. Glad everyone had a good time. We'll definitely have to do it again. 8)
