I may of had this in the wrong section.... here it goes again....

Doug@Sutton.....

Im still a bit new to this SCT tuner so bear with me.

I have a 2005 GT and it seems a tuner from what I have read will help solve the throttle lag, and deftinitely get me some extra HP.

Now with CAI, exhaust, etc.. any kind of extra mod, Ive read you HAVE to get you cp re-flashed.

Do you need to get it re-flashed every time you do a mod ?? Wouldn't it be easier to do all the mods and get it flashed all at once.

And then, these "preprogrammed" flashes. They say you should get your tuner (you I guess) to run you a "custom" tune for your car and all yor mods. What do you do ? Hook it up to a dyno and find what tune will get the best performance??

Am I saying this all correctly???

Again... im a noob to this and very interested in getting one of these tuners. And have read so much online about it my brain is now mush.

You pretty much got everything correct in what you said. The important time that you want to have a tune done is when you put on the cold air induction just because the engine is taking in more air so you want it to be safe. If you are going to put exhaust on it right away do not worry about putting a tune on it for that. It is smart if you plan to put a bunch of mods on at once just wait to custom tune the car (when i say wait i mean next day) The tuner will help in where the throttle wants to close at the top of the rpm because we can leave it open. I apologize if i missed any questions but feel free to e-mail me back if you have anymore questions.
Thanks Doug
