Talk going around now is the #9 pick and Ben Gordon for Kobe Bryant??? I don't know if he'll fit in with Skiles team-first philosophy, but he'll get the Bulls 28 - 35 a game, so???
Your thoughts?

I say go after Kobe. Give up the pick, give up Gordon, but keep Wallace. I think Kobe would fit in with Skiles. (They can both bad mouth Shaq). When you get a chance to get a player like Kobe jump on it. I don't see a negative side to getting him. He is one of the only Offensively gifted players that actually plays defense, which is one of Skiles main keys. Work hard on both ends. The bulls have more than enough Guards to give up to get Kobe in the Red and Black. If you haven't guessed yet I am a Kobe fan. I Think they should have put a better package together when he was a free agent. Because Chicago was one of the top teams he want to go to.
I say to John Paxson, "Get on the phone, Let's make a deal."

I don't know, he's a hell of a player but what are you going to do when you lose in the first round of the playoffs next year and he demands to be traded again? If he did have so many negative things swirling around him on and off the court I would say yes in a heart beat. But, right now I would be more interested in a player like Kevin Garnett. He is great on both sides of the ball and is very loyal to the team he plays for. If he was able to stay with a terrible team like the T-wolves for as long as he has without much complaining, I think he would be greatfull to come to a team that at least has talent and a bright future.

I don't think anyone will argue that he's not talented. Kobe is one of the top players in the NBA right now. The issue is that he isn't the right fit for the organization. I am not sure if Paxson will want to deal with Kobe's attitude. I'd like to see them go after Garnett. I think Paxson's mentality is that he wants a star player that can mentor the team. Kobe isn't that player in my opinion.

Kobe is no different then Mike was as far as leading the team and teaching. Mike had to punch Steve Kerr in the head to get him to act right. If you watched and of the Lakers game for the last 2 season Kobe was always in the middle of the huddle talking with his teammates trying to get them in the game.

I don't know if it'll happen- but it should be interesting to see what happens the days leading up to the draft! Isn't Thomas 24 though?!?! What number would Kobe wear with the Bulls?

Gordon and the #9 isn't enough talent or equal salaries so that won't work.
The Lakers would never make that deal anyways. They would have to empty the roster for him. Jordan didn't win until Pippen and Grant came along. They need to leave the young core alone and add a big man in free agency.

I am not saying give up the entire team but they can work out something to get Kobe here. Giving up Gordon the pick and someone else would be worth it. It is correct that the Lakers are not going to give him up they would be stupid. But we can dream
