GT with single exhaust?

I've seen a couple Mustangs with GT badges and the GT trunk center with only a single exhaust. Is Ford offering something new for the 06 models?

Not sure, but I know dealers sell GT clones. If it's a single exhaust, it is a V6. Just as bad as ricers!

theres two kids around here that have cloned "gt"s, ones an 05 and then a red 99-04, put bullitts, hood scoop and badges on it. first time i seen it i was like wow that was quiet, then noticed there werent any cut outs or fog lights.

This may not be the case, but both the 99-04 and 05+ V6 Pony Packages make the V6 look almost exactly like a GT. Of course it's not badged as a GT, but they both have bullitt wheels, fog lights, and, on the 99-04, hood scoops. The 99-04 Pony Packages have the runny pony decal along the bottom of the doors too.

I have seen a 2000 GT 2V 4.6 with a single exhaust. It was a turbo car though, custom exhaust from the headers back. Sounded like poopy but went 10's.

the 05s didnt have a pony package, he still had the v6 wheels with the spinners on them and this was before the 06s were out. the fog lights are different also. the kid with the 99-04 also has the black hood applique and the exhaust looks horrible, just regular stainless, not polished or anything.

My car is really a V6 and I ordered a GT Grill and the Badges. I thought it would look cool.

The only part of that that I dont like is the Badges. People who mis-badge their cars have something wrong in the head :?: . If you have a V6 and are happy, good for you. If you want people to think your ride is a GT, buy a GT.

I saw someone at the Victor Ford auto show this past summer who had an 05 GT and put Cobra badges all over it, and just the other day on the road I saw a v6 with GT badges and the GT fog lights. I don't get why people do this. It can't help the mustang image if someone else pulls next to them in a GT comparable car and wants to race then blows the v6 out of the water :down:

exactly! i thought it was pretty cool until i saw the badges. after that i was ready to call them ricers. i mean why dont they just go all out and put the cobras on it if theyre gonna do something like that? one night i was leaving cvs after picking something up for my mom and the kid with the 99-04 was cleaning off his car cause it snowed earlier. usually i make a left out of the parking lot, but noticed there were no cars coming. so i changed my mind and pulled out half way side ways right in front of him. i was tempted to go back and ask him if his GT can do that. the only time id ever if think it was somewhat ok to put a different badge on it is if it actually either was converted into an actual GT, but even then its still a little iffy, or if someone put pony badges instead of the GT badges.

last night i saw a 96-98 V6 with a cobra front grille logo, a cobra windshield banner, and cobra R wheels ...

all while having the single pipe V6 limp d*ck exhaust

Maybe I'll swap my GT badges for the V-6 badges so I can spank some unsuspecting VW Bug owners...

I mean, I'm ok with adding the GT styling but adding the badges is going too far.
