new exhaust [Archive]

I had the Roush exhaust put on, along with the rear valance and the rocker molding. Figured I would post some pics.

Is it just the exit tubes or did the exhaust come with new mufflers as well? How's it sound?

The sad thing is...not only did those look retarded, they were just holes cut in the stock bumper and plugged with an insert.

They are pretty much the Magnaflow Axle-back with tips. Sounds good.

The clip isn't all that great, but better then nothing. Gives you an idea. It sounds much better then this though.

I have gotten many complements on the look and sounds, in only the few days that I have had in on there.

Sounds a little deeper than stock. I have Magnaflows and love them. Add a Off road X and it will make it a lot louder!

I have Flowmaster mufflers/tips .... I like the deep sound but want it a little louder.... thinking about a mid-pipe before I get it tuned/chipped but am afraid of getting a 'raspy' sound which I HATE..... anybody have any thoughts on this????

On the 3Vs, an Off-road H and Flowmasters sounds like crap. There are a lot of good exhaust threads on forums.bradbarnett.net

I like the sound of my Magnaflows and Off road X. With the stock mufflers my car was raspy. The magnaflows quited down my exhaust at idle and cruising, but under WOT it's loud. They reduced the rasp, but its still there. The tone also became much deeper with the Magnaflows.

I've been thinking of building the short block myself. I can find a Teksid block cheap and the same goes for a Cobra Forged Crank. Finally, throw in some 4340 H Beam rods, ARP studs, and Forged Dished Pistons. This combo is good for 1000hp I've been told. I'd probably have Al work over the heads later on.

You can drive it. But you break or damage it you buy it at double the price. lol

I have been driving it for years and still getting used to it! lol That car is not for everyone. Ask a few of the 4am club about the race I had back from Lemont one night. I was in the right hand lane and all of the sudden the car swerved to the right. I was on the shoulder spitting rocks every where. But I didn't get out of it? Was I going to let that blown BB Chevy beat me? No sir! I just kept the gas peddle mashed, shifted gears and drove it back on the street. HAHAHA That crazy car goes all over the place for no reason.

HAHAHA! I don't beat on other people's car. I'd feel really bad if I broke something. I've driven Brian's 350Z and my friends 500whp Vette a few times. I get on it to 80-90 mph and let off. It's not my car so I won't drive it hard. I haven't talked to Shaun in a few weeks, is he still planning on selling his Incon Kit?
